A-Level Biology Student Leads Masterclass for Year 11 Scientists

On Friday 28th February 2025, an inspiring A-Level Biology student, who had earned top marks with 9s in Science at GCSE, led an engaging masterclass for our ambitious Year 11 scientists. Supported by his teacher, the student provided an insightful and detailed analysis of the Biology mark scheme, referencing the examiner's report. He shared crucial tips on common pitfalls to avoid, as well as strategies for excelling in upcoming assessments.

A key focus of the session was the required practical element of the course, with the student emphasising the importance of preparation and understanding of practical skills. The Year 11 students responded enthusiastically, taking diligent notes on how they could improve after their recent Gold Mock exams.

This collaborative learning experience showcased the power of peer-to-peer support and demonstrated the value of setting high academic aspirations.
