Hylands School Enhances PE Facilities with New Funding

The PE department at Hylands School is excited to announce the successful acquisition of funding from the Department for Education (DfE) through the Opening School Facilities initiative. This funding is specifically aimed at improving facilities for after-school provision, and today, we were thrilled to have brand-new basketball goals installed in the sports hall.

This is just the beginning! In addition to the basketball goals, the funding will be used to purchase several other key items, including a cricket wicket, hockey goalkeeper kit, indoor athletics boards, and the recruitment of external coaches to support our after-school clubs.

A big thank you to Essex Active for their support in helping us secure the grant, which will significantly enhance the opportunities available to our students. We're excited to see these new resources benefit our PE programs and provide even more opportunities for students to engage in sports and physical activities.
