Saad Anjum
Deputy Headteacher - Quality of Education
Mr Anjum is an experienced educator with a passion for mathematics and a commitment to student success. He holds a BSc in Mathematical Sciences from City University of London and an MA in Mathematics Education from UCL.
Mr Anjum began his teaching career in 2010 and has taught Mathematics to students aged 11-18. He has held a variety of leadership roles, including Classroom Teacher, Learning Director of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher, Head of Secondary School, and is currently the Deputy Headteacher at Hylands School.
He values the strong sense of community at Hylands, where staff and students feel connected and supported. He is dedicated to fostering a positive school culture that emphasises respect, responsibility, and resilience. With high expectations for all students, he strives to inspire them to reach their full potential.
Outside of school, Mr Anjum enjoys staying active and exercising whenever possible and is a keen snooker and cricket fan.

The PE department secured some funding this year from the DfE called Opening School Facilities. This is aimed at improving facilities for after school provision.
