Year 7 Intake

Application Procedure

Applications for admission in Year 7 must be made direct to the Local Authority by the closing date published in the Secondary Education in Essex booklet. For further details visit www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.

Applications for September 2019 must be made between
12th September 2018 and 31st October 2018.

 

It is the responsibility of parents to make an application for their child’s secondary school place.  It is not necessary to wait to receive an application form or a letter before you apply.

Appeals Procedure

If you wish to appeal your place at our school you will need to appeal by the dates stated on the Local Authority website using the below link

Mid-year Admissions

Applications for Mid-year admissions can be made throughout the year, to apply you will need to complete the below application form and send it in to Hylands School. 

 

After we have processed your application you will receive a letter stating whether your application has been accepted or rejected. If your application has been accepted you will be given details of a meeting where you will come and meet your child’s head of year to discuss when they will start at Hylands.
